Your May Goddess: Diana

The Roman goddess Diana is one of the oldest, most important and complex goddesses in the Roman pantheon. She is known as the goddess of the moon, for her patronage of forest hunting, animals, fertility, and childbirth.

Born to the goddess Latona, Diana helped her mother deliver her twin brother Apollo, as she was born nine days earlier. As a result, the Romans worshipped and prayed to her for conception and safe delivery. As she grew older, she preferred solitude in the forest. She is often depicted with a bow and arrow, signaling her sense of adventure and love for hunting.

Diana has a special place in our hearts at Magna Dea. She is featured in our logo, because she is also the name of our founder's mother and grandmother. She credits these two strong and beautiful women with being the inspiration and compass of her entire life. Diana is a strong representation of the women and mission we stand for.

This month’s Diana blend has the unique aromas of Bergamot FCF, Cedarwood USA, Frankincense, Lime, Rose, Vetiver, and Ylang Ylang. This blend boosts your mood to ground you, relieve stress and anxiety, and promote calmness and tranquility, providing you with the strong foundation to emulate the beautiful works of the goddess Diana.
